Originally from beautiful Quebec City, Valérie moved to Montreal with her family as a teenager. Passionate about travel from a young age, Valérie quickly knew that she wanted to evolve in a field related to travel and experiences. As soon as she finished her studies, she started her career as a destination representative for Transat Tours Canada, and left Quebec for the Caribbean for 3 years. This experience allowed her to quickly confirm that hospitality was truly a passion, this role allowing her crisis management, hotel operations, etc. After this enriching experience, Valérie continued to work within the Transat group in various roles, moving from hotel operations & inventory optimization as well as to the hotel inspection program. Always attracted to the hotel industry specifically, Valérie made a shift in 2009 and turned to Hôtel Le Crystal to pursue her career. She evolved there for almost 10 years, enjoying different roles from sales & marketing coordinator, business development manager, and finally, During that time, she was able to develop her sales and marketing capabilities for an independent hotel product in a very competitive environment, as well as to put her leadership skills to the fore. Before creating VOILÀ! with Fanny, Valérie was part of the Field Marketing team of Marriott International; a rewarding experience that allowed her to gain a more in-depth understanding of additional markets other than Montreal, such as Quebec City, Mont-Tremblant, St-Hyacinthe, Ottawa, Sherbrooke and Trois-Rivières. All these experiences allows her to have an overview and bring creative and strategic ideas to the table in order to get results and stand out from the crowd.

Fanny is a professional and committed specialist in marketing and communications, who’s passion is delivering results and creating value for a brand. Interested in the latest trends, her greatest desire is to contribute to the significant influence of Quebec on the national and international scenes.


Born and raised in Switzerland, Fanny Ryner immigrated with her family to Montreal at the age of 16. Her need of discovery and constant passion for new experiences pushed her to travel to many different countries and continents and learn new languages. Her open mind and interest for upcoming trends guided her to complete a Bachelor degree in Marketing & Communications from the University of Quebec in Montreal. She started in the beauty and cosmetic industry where she began her management career by developing multiple different product categories and brands for the Canadian and Quebec markets. Her skills and natural love for brand experience creation brought her to manage the event department of professional and consumer magazines at Rogers Media. She then was offered to oversee the marketing department for the Quebec based magazines. This experience allowed Fanny to refine her brand leadership and consumer engagement expertise. Because of her passion for travel, Fanny accepted a role at the W Montreal where she managed all marketing, PR, social media, events and partnerships initiatives. Promoted to Field Marketing Manager for the Quebec Marriott hotels, she extended her competencies in understanding and answering specific marketing and business needs. Fanny is a highly engaged, passionate and professional marketing and communication specialist who knows how to deliver sustained growth and create value for a brand. She is based in Montreal and aims to help promote the Quebec tourism market on the national and international scenes.
